Bear Lake July 2011
We spend a week in Bear Lake at the condo with Mark's bro Ryan and his family. We hiked to Bloomington Lake, went to the Paris Ice Caves, rode four wheelers, visited Grandma Weaver, played on the beach and in the water. We had a blast!
I made T-shirts for the kids to wear to announce...our baby is a BOY!

Locks of Love June 2011
Alyssa loved her long hair, but not the tangles. She decided to donate a good 10" to locks of love.
And here I am getting ready to head to the Doctor to get off my Reglan pump. I don't know how I would have survived this pregnancy without it. And look at that belly! I think I am only at 17 weeks here!
Spring 2011
Cole's broken arm didn't slow him down much. In fact, the day of the surgery he took a long nap when we got home from the hospital, but when Alyssa got home from school, all he wanted to do was run around the house. He even snuck out the back door and ran out into the yard, when some friends stopped by. We were so nervous he was going to trip again. We had to make him stay on the sofa and watch cartoons.
The night of Cole's surgery, I threw up. I hoped this pregnancy would be different and not so bad, but it just got worse each week. By Easter I was on a home IV. Cole and I had lots of snuggle time.
10th Anniversary and Cole's Broken Arm
Mark and I were getting ready to head to Vegas for our 10th Anniversary and a couple days before we were to leave town, our little Cole fell down the stairs and broke his arm. It was the saddest thing. Poor kid had to have surgery to fix it. He was so brave at the hospital and didn't even cry when he got his IV. The doctor told us he'd be fine with the Grandparents and not to miss our vacation. So a day or two after his operation we hit the road. Even though it was hard to be away from the kiddos, we had a good time in the sun. We went to a cirque du soleil show, the hoover dam, a magic show, and just enjoyed each other and some sunshine. Sadly, this is the only pic of us together on our trip...Mark is on the phone and you can see up my nose...awesome!
Alyssa in January 2011
Yeah!! I got a new DSLR camera for Christmas!!! I wanted to take some pictures of Alyssa before she lost her front teeth and before she donated her hair to locks of love.
Cowgirl Alyssa Turns 7
Because of the addition of two miniature horses to our "farm", we had to throw a Pony Party for Alyssa. Mark helped all of the kids get a pony ride around the back yard and I made a carousel cake. It was quite the party.

School, Camping, and Birthdays
Alyssa starts 1st grade! Aren't those polka dotted shoes the cutest! Those little numbers started quite the shopping spree. Shopping for girls is too much fun.
Cole waves goodbye to his Sissa. Gotta love the crazy mismatched jammies.
I got to make my little nephew's birthday invites. Isn't he a cutie!
...........................................
We went hunting Labor Day weekend with the Rhodehouses. It was fun. Highlights of the trip...
- I cooked dutch oven by myself for the first time. Mark always is the one that cooks with the dutch oven, but since he was out hunting, I had to do it. I didn't even burn anything. I made potatoes, jose's lasagna and a peach cobbler on different nights.
- Mark and Uncle Nolin shot an Elk.
- One of the times the guys came back in the middle of the day to hang out with us, my Uncle Nolin took us on a little horse ride. I hadn't ridden a horse in forever.
While we were camping, Alyssa decided that she wanted to have a pony party for her birthday. (a rockstar party was a close second choice) She had her friends come over after school to play with our miniature horses so we could take a picture to use for her invitations. These girls are so fun to watch with the horses. We have some poles that they get the brown horse, Hotshot, to jump. They had fun pretending they were at the rodeo.
Pony Party pictures to come in the next post.

Who has time to blog when you're ...
busy painting zebra print on your neighbor's walls...
I looked at this sweater as I painted.
My neighbor Judy, redecorated her daughter's bedroom for a birthday surprise. I suggested painting Zebra on one wall and volunteered myself to do it. It was a fun project. Judy is constantly helping me with projects so I was happy to have a way to help her. The room turned out so cute. Her daughter loved it!

Growing a Garden...
We have played more this summer than we ever have. (We got some cool projects done too--a deck, patio, and a fence-yeah!) It has been a wonderful summer. I am so sad that it is almost over :( One more day left before school starts and then we are camping this weekend for Labor Day.
